Description
The objectives of the European directive on the conservation of wild birds are:
— the protection of habitats to ensure the survival and reproduction of rare or threatened wild birds,
— the protection of breeding, moulting, wintering and migration relay areas for all migratory species.
This is an inventory under this directive, not regulatory protection. But the presence of an IBA is indicative of biological interest.
