Zoning consisting of all general interest program (GPI) perimeters.
Established in 1977, the planned habitat improvement operations (OPAH) have been for thirty years now.
the main tool by which the rehabilitation of urban centres and rural towns is carried out. Other tools
have been created to respond to territorial, technical and social specificities: declination of OPAHs
(rural, urban, degraded condominiums), General Interest Programmes (GIPs) and Social Programs
Themes (PST).
If the planned intervention in a given area, generally large — large agglomeration, basin
extensive housing, or even a department, these areas which do not have urban malfunctions and
significant social issues, justifying an overall project — is a particular issue to be addressed, of a nature
social or technical, the OPAH is not an adequate tool, and should be preferred to it the Programme procedure
of general interest (PIG), as defined by Article R 327-1 of the Construction and Construction Code
housing (CCH).
The General Interest Programme (GIP) is an action programme initiated by local and regional authorities.

programme.
