Description
2002 census of large hamster burrows occupied in Alsace in winter cereal plots (10 metres between two enumerators) and alfalfa (3 metres between two enumerators) for population status. The number of burrows identified according to this semi-exhaustive protocol validated in 2000 by the ONCFS is an index of abundance.
