They are referred to in Article 3260 of Decree No 2006-881 of 17 July 2006.

Water retention dams are described in layers N_OUVRAGE_RETENUE_P and N_OUVRAGE_RETENUE_L
Are represented the dikes of the NIÈVRE and the dikes concerning the Loire River (managed by the DDT58) of the department of Loiret, Cher, Allier and Saône-et-Loire.
