Description
An economic activity zone is, in France, a site reserved for the establishment of businesses within a given area. They bring together public authorities, communities and businesses around the same growth objective and in a spirit of partnership. Generally placed under the legal regime of the development permit or of a Concerted Planning Area (ZAC), they are generally located on the outskirts of the major centres because of the proximity of transport infrastructure, guaranteeing their regional, national or international influence and a pool of labour and services.
