A public institution for intercommunal cooperation (EPCI) is a French administrative structure bringing together several municipalities in order to exercise some of their common powers. This is the most successful form of intercommunality.
EPCIs are governed by the provisions of Part Five of the General Code of Local and Regional Authorities.
