Description
The Plan for the Prevention of Coastal Risks (PPRL) of the Baie de Bourgneuf Nord was approved by order of the Prefect dated 13 July 2016 and enforceable on 25 August 2016.
This PPRL concerns the municipalities of Pornic, La Bernerie-en-Retz, Les Moutiers-en-Retz, Villeneuve-en-Retz. The study of hazards was carried out on the only part of Villeneuve-en-Retz (new municipality on 1 January 2016) corresponding to the former commune of Bourgneuf-en-Retz.
The PPRL is a regulatory document designed to improve the safety of people and property from the risks of marine submersion and coastal erosion. As a priority, it aims not to increase risks and to reduce vulnerability in the perimeters it covers, both from the point of view of future urbanisation and the construction and use of the territory.
