Description
The noise classification of inland transport infrastructure is a regulatory approach taken pursuant to Article L571-10 of the Environmental Code and the Order of 30 May 1996, which require the prefect of each department to classify land transport infrastructure according to 5 categories (1 being the noisier and 5 least noisy).
In the Eure, the noise classification for all tracks with more than 5000 vehicles/day and more than 50 trains/day, defines corridors in which new constructions must protect themselves from noise.
