Dataset Direct Download Service (WFS): Geographical area of a cheese-type protected designation of origin

Description

The PDO, the protected designation of origin, corresponds to the European controlled designation of origin. It is the name of a region, a specified place or, in exceptional cases, a country, which is used to designate an agricultural product or foodstuff originating in that region, place or country, of which: — the quality or characteristics are due essentially or exclusively to the geographical environment comprising natural and human factors and — production, processing and production take place in the defined geographical area. A designation includes 1 to n denomination(s) and 1 to n products (e.g. the colours of the wines, which may be subject to specific delimitations).
