Description
The North — Pas de Calais region has less marked hydrological phenomena than other parts of the national territory. Floods are less violent, but often cause considerable damage to property or activities. Knowledge of flooding areas is now essential for everyone, especially for planning and urban planning decisions. It is this fact that has led the State and the Nord — Pas de Calais region to plan the construction of an atlas of floodable areas within the framework of the planning contracts.
