Perimeters of the Countries in the Department of Meuse/Law of 04 February 1995
The country is thus a project space for which public and private actors build from local potential a sustainable development project. From the delimitation of a study area agreed by the Prefect of Region, a development council is set up that draws up a charter for the sustainable development of the country and formulates an opinion on any question of the planning of the country’s territory. Subsequently, a management structure is set up, the country’s managing body, which sets out the guidelines of the charter into an action programme, the country contract.
