Description
Location of fixed shooting stations for night hunting of water game authorised under Article L 424-5 of the Environment Code.
In 22 departments, the regulations (Article L 424-5 of the Environmental Code) have endorsed traditional practices for hunting water game. Such hunting may be carried out at night from fixed posts such as huts, huts, tonnes or gabions if they existed on 1 January 2000 and have been declared to the prefect under conditions laid down by the regulations.
The prefect issues a post number.
The declaration procedure, in accordance with Article R. 424-17 of the same Code, provides that the declaration shall be accompanied “by a description of the fixed post, accompanied by the cadastral designation of the fund where that fixed post is situated or its location in the public domain”.
