Description
The following may be classified as protective forests, for reasons of public utility:
— forests the conservation of which is recognised as necessary for the maintenance of land on mountains and slopes, for protection against avalanches, erosions and flooding of waters and sands;
— woods and forests, regardless of their owners, located on the periphery of large agglomerations, as well as in areas where maintenance is required, either for ecological reasons or for the well-being of the population.
