Municipalities of the Jura in which the presence of Castor d’Eurasie (Castor fiber) is proven.
This list of municipalities was drawn up by prefectural decree of 09 March 2017 (Record of administrative acts of the Jura N°39-2017-03-002 published on 10 March 2017) following the list of municipalities transmitted by the National Office for Hunting and Wildlife (ONCFS) dated 09 February 2017.
In municipalities where beavers are found to be present, special arrangements should be laid down for trapping and destroying species classified as harmful in the territory of those municipalities in order to preserve the protected species of beaver.
