The information contained in this layer relates to the sections of dikes known to the Safety Control Service for hydraulic structures in the former Aquitaine region.
Data compiled from the Hydraulic Works Information System (SIOUH).
The Hydraulic Works Information System (SIOUH) is aimed primarily at the safety control services of hydraulic structures, in order to help them monitor the application of the regulations introduced with the issuance of Decree No 2007-1735.
Dike Ranking
Protection dikes may be classified by prefectural decree. The classification is organised into four classes (A to D) according to the consequences in the event of a break in the dam. (see Decree No 2007-1735)
