Certain singular points of an exceptional transport route are likely to hinder or even prevent the passage of a convoy with the risk of damage.These particular points, known as crossings, are typically works of art, gantries, traffic lights and other vertical elements such as decorations or overhead cable passages, etc.
These crossings are located, recognised and validated by prefectural decrees, on the basis of prior agreements with each of the managers concerned.
Special requirements complement the general requirements applicable to the crossing by exceptional transport convoys.
