Description

Wind energy is produced from the wind force, thanks to a wind turbine, which transforms the mechanical energy of the wind into electrical energy. Connected to a generator, it consists of a mast on which is attached a propeller that turns the wind. Onshore wind is distinguished from offshore wind — or offshore wind (having more frequent, stronger and more regular winds than on land). Depending on its height, a wind turbine may be the subject of a building permit (for any wind turbine more than 12 m high), an impact assessment (for wind turbines over 50 m high) or a notice (for wind turbines less than 50 m high).This table contains only wind turbines whose construction permit has been granted.Since the law on the national commitment on the environment known as “Grenelle II”, a minimum distance threshold between future wind turbines and dwellings has been introduced. In the absence of precision in the building permit, the rules of retreat from public tracks or right-of-way and separative limits apply at any point of the wind turbine, at the end of the blade in a horizontal position.In addition, the operation of wind turbines will be subject to the authorisation scheme for installations classified for the protection of the environment (ICPE).
