Description
“Citizens have a right to information on the major risks to which they are subjected in certain areas of the territory and about the safeguards affecting them.This right applies to technological risks and foreseeable natural risks.
“ First paragraph of Article L 125.2 of the Environmental Code Floods, mudslides, industrial or technological accidents: these are dramatic events that can seriously disrupt society’s functioning, destroy property, damage the environment, or even suddenly endanger lives.
Knowing the risks to better anticipate them and be able to react effectively to the event is the essential objective of preventive information enshrined in the environmental code.
