The PPRT is the main instrument of State action for the control of urbanization around industrial farms. It has been developed in application of the national PPRT methodological guide and its main objective is to protect people and avoid (or limit) the exposure of new people.
The PPRT comprises five documents:
- A non-technical summary detailing the main elements of the PPRT development process
- the presentation note explaining the various stages of the PPRT procedure and justifying the choices made;
- the regulatory zoning plan that delimits and identifies and the different areas of the PPRT
- the Regulation: which sets out the rules and measures imposed by the PPRT
- the recommendation booklet: which specifies the measures that may be taken but are not imposed
