River basins, defined by the Prefectural Decree of the Orne, laying down the general framework for drought measures.
This Order: http://www.orne.gouv.fr/IMG/pdf/20180208_ap_acs_consolide_cle2beadc.pdf, signed 2 July 2012 and amended on 6 February 2018, sets thresholds (vigilance, alert, enhanced alert, crisis) based on:
— stream flows observed by measuring stations present on the main rivers of the department. These watercourses are associated with watersheds comprising a number of municipalities and which are subject, individually and in accordance with their own hydrological situation and, where appropriate, to measures to restrict the use of water.
— table levels recorded on reference piezometers.
