Description
This dataset contains the location (one-time objects) of the Classified Environmental Protection Installations (ICPE). It identifies licensed or Seveso-type ICPEs, which are not in cessation of activity.
A facility classified for the protection of the environment (ICPE) in France is an installation operated or owned by any natural, legal, public or private person who may present dangers or disadvantages to the convenience of residents, health, safety, public health, agriculture, the protection of nature and the environment, the conservation of sites and monuments.
Specifically, an ICPE is an establishment (installation) that has an activity corresponding to an activity heading described in a list of the environmental code. The classification regime of the CIPE (Seveso, Authorisation, Registration, Reporting) is set by a specific threshold for each item.
