New-Aquitaine: Areas vulnerable to pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin in Loire Bretagne — Perimeters (surface)
Description
This dataset contains restricted areas (surface objects) of vulnerable areas. A vulnerable area is a part of the territory where water pollution by direct or indirect discharge of nitrates of agricultural origin and other nitrogen compounds that may become nitrates threatens in the short term the quality of aquatic environments and, in particular, the supply of drinking water. Vulnerable zones shall be designated as areas where:
— surface and groundwater fresh waters, in particular those intended for drinking water, have a nitrate content exceeding 40 mg/l,
— estuary waters, coastal or marine waters and surface fresh waters which have undergone or show a tendency to eutrophication which can be effectively combated by reducing nitrogen inputs and having a nitrate content exceeding 18 mg/L.
The list of municipalities or parts of municipalities in the Loire Bretagne district classified as vulnerable areas is drawn from the annex and decree 07.162 of 27/08/2007, supplemented by the annexes to Prefectural Decree No 15.048 of 13/03/2015 and Prefectural Decree 15.048 of 13/03/2015.
