Natura 2000 — Auvergne Birds Directive
Description
The Natura 2000 network comprises 2 types of regulatory areas: special Protection Areas (SPAs) and Community Interest Sites (SICs). SPAs are designated on the basis of the Inventory of Important Bird Conservation Areas (ICOAs) as defined by European Directive 79/409/EEC of 25/4/1979 on the conservation of wild birds.
