Wolffish is a hunt for wolves and other large pests, with a view to their destruction.
The prefect decides by decree on the collective destruction of pests. He appoints, for a period of six years, lieutenants of welfare who will manage these collective destructions under the control of the Departmental Directorate of the Territories.
The number of lieutenants is determined according to the area, afforestation and terrain of the department. These lieutenants are the administration’s technical advisors on wildlife management issues.
