Cantal Regional Natural Park

Description

A regional nature park is part of the protected natural areas (ENP) which are designated or managed in an international, Community, national or local framework with a view to achieving specific objectives for the conservation of the natural heritage.Regional nature parks aim to enhance vast areas of great cultural and natural interest, and to ensure the sustainable development of these areas whose rural character is often highly asserted. They are created as a result of the desire of local and regional authorities (communities, communities of municipalities, departments, regions) to implement a territorial project which is implemented by the drafting of a charter.A park is certified for a maximum of 12 years by the State, and can be renewed. It is classified as IUCN Category V (protected landscapes).Legal References: Articles L333-1 to L333-3 and R333-1 to R333-16 of the Environmental Code.
