Description
it lays down for the river water quality objectives, the improvement of the aquatic environment and the balanced management of water resources and lays down in an operational manner (action programme over 5 years, designation of project managers, method of financing, deadlines for works, etc.) the methods of carrying out the studies and the work necessary to achieve these objectives. Unlike SAGE, the objectives of the river contract have no legal scope. The environmental contract includes the concepts of river, lake, bay, or table.
