Clay-stressed area — Department of Tarn-et-Garonne
Description
Specific zoning of the decree on the regional action programme for the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates of agricultural origin for the Midi-Pyrénées region (Regional Prefectural Decree of 15 April 2014).
Farmers with islets in the clay-stressed area may derogate from the obligation to cover long intercultures. As compensation, they have an obligation to cover at least 20 % of the surface area, to set up vegetated strips along all rivers, and to provide a post-harvest nitrogen balance.
