FQMS – Fuel Quality Monitoring System 2022.
Description
EU Directive 98/70/EC requires Member States to verify compliance with fuel quality standards and report the results to the European Commission. In Austria, around 7.62 million tonnes of fuel were sold in 2022, of which around 6.1 million tonnes of diesel fuel were sold. The Federal Environment Agency analysed samples from 208 filling stations throughout Germany, with one sample being taken per filling station. In the case of petrol, two deviations of the standard parameter for the steam pressure of the “Super” fuel type were found, for diesel fuel no exceeding. All parameters of the petrol grade “Super Plus” were in conformity with the norm. The maximum value of 10 mg/kg sulphur content for marine fuels to be complied with in accordance with EU Directive 2009/30/EC was not exceeded in any of the six samples analysed.
