Description
Basemap datasets comprise five of the seven FGDC themes of geospatial data that are used by most GIS applications (Note: the framework themes of orthoimagery and elevation are packaged in separate NFIP Metadata Profiles): cadastral, geodetic control, governmental unit, transportation, and hydrography (water areas and lines).
