There he is; one of the rarest butterflies in Europe: The ash cheek butterfly! I am in the Jörglgraben, in the NP Kalkalpen, on a warm August day. In front of me a strange figure hangs on a young ash, in a small forest clearing. It is warm there, but also quite humid, ensures a spring that runs through the clearing.
