Description
On half of the Water Management Authority of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development of Luxembourg, the flood risk due to heavy rainfall was simulated for the entire country and heavy rainfall hazard maps were extracted to inform and sensitise the population. The hazard map comes from information on the potential, depth and velocity of runoff and floating during a heavy rainfall event. A brief summary and notes on the use and handling of the heavy rain hazard maps Luxembourg is attached to the downloadable file and should be considered for use.
