Core Economic Zone (OGV, 2010) (history)
Description
Because the northern economy is relatively thin, it is important to concentrate economic developments. The Environmental Vision adopted by Provincial States on 2 June 2010 states that the province wants to do so within the urban networks Groningen-Assen and the Drenthe Zuidas (Map 3 Economic Core Zone). This calls for an adequate strategy for networking the cities, (inter)national and (inter)regional readiness, careful use of space, an attractive offer in living and working environments and facilities.
