Protection areas for deep subsurface
Description
The Drenthe subsurface performs various functions such as the supply of groundwater, oil, gas, geothermal and sand, the harboring of geological, archaeological and cultural historical values and the storage of natural gas and heat and cold. An increase in CO2 storage is expected in the near future. This file shows where restrictions lie for future use of the deep subsurface. It is part of the map: “Preferential map restrictions use deep subsurface due to desired future developments” from the structural vision subsurface.
