Description
Natural forest reserves are particularly close-to-nature forest areas that are designated at the request of the forest owner. After designation, the natural forest reserves are left to natural development. The natural forest reserves represent the natural forest communities nationwide and serve the preservation and research of such forests as well as the protection of biological diversity. Apart from the necessary measures of forest protection and traffic safety, no management measures and no harvesting of timber take place on these areas.
