Wuppertal ATOM Feed Bike-free one-way roads
Description
The ATOM Feed Download Service for bicycle-free one-way roads in Wuppertal provides a dataset for download, which includes the real and unreal one-way roads in the city area of Wuppertal as an excerpt from the Wuppertal traffic model approved in both directions. (In the case of a false one-way street, entry into the road is only allowed from one direction, but both directions are permitted within the road.) The Wuppertal traffic model is a node-edge model of the road network, the actually surface one-way roads are therefore represented in this data set in a simplified way by the middle axes of the corresponding roads. The permissible direction of travel or entry is opposite to the running direction of the line geometries. The geometric position of the nodes of the traffic model was matched in 2005 to the Digital Basic Map DGK. Therefore, all large-scale spatial data can be used as a background map for a visualisation of the data set. The dataset of bicycle-free one-way roads is a subset of the data set “Einbahnstraße Wuppertal”, which includes all real and unreal one-way roads in the Wuppertal city area. It is additionally generated because in the thematic context “cycling” there is a need for this pre-filtered variant. If necessary, the occasional updates of the database are initiated by the Roads and Transport department for surveying, cadastral office and spatial data and are incorporated into the dataset in a timely manner. The ESRI shape files, KML and GeoJSON files that the download service accesses as open data under the CC BY 4.0 license are updated weekly in an automated process.
