Description
SUP Nuclear Waste Management Programs. National Waste Management Programme Germany - Technical Opinion. Council Directive 2011/70/Euratom ‘establishing a Community framework for the responsible and safe management of spent fuel and radioactive waste’ requires the Member States of the European Union to establish national programmes for the management of their spent fuel and radioactive waste. These programs must include all stages of disposal. The aim is to ensure safe and responsible disposal to protect workers and the general public from ionising radiation. Future generations should not be burdened with unreasonable burdens.
