Geological 3D-Model Lower Subsoil North German Basin for Lower Saxony and Bremen (TUNB3D-NI) - Tile Overview
Description
The three-dimensional geological overview model of the deeper subsoil of Lower Saxony and Bremen (TUNB3D-NI) was developed within the framework of the joint project ‘Potentials of the underground storage and economic space in the North German Basin’ (Deeper Subsoil of the North German Basin – TUNB) in cooperation with the State Geological Services of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Saxony-Anhalt under the auspices of the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials. In an overview scale, it depicts 13 lithostratigraphic horizons from the base Zechstein to the base Rupel, salt structures and fault surfaces to a depth of 7500 m in three dimensions.
The 20 model tiles of the geological 3D model of the deeper subsurface of Lower Saxony and Bremen (TUNB3D-NI) are shown. The model itself was developed as part of the joint project ‘Potentials of the underground storage and economic space in the North German Basin’ (Depth Underground North German Basin – TUNB) in cooperation with the State Geological Services of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Saxony-Anhalt under the auspices of the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Raw Materials.
