Reporting Water Framework Directive 2010: methodologies for assessment of surface water bodies per WFD basin

Description

Information on assessment methodologies for WFD surface water bodies, France as a whole. For each basin the following methods are detailed: - typology of water bodies, - water status classification systems, - interpretation of monitoring results, - identification of pressures, - identification of impacts, use of exemptions, - discrepancies and uncertainties. A file is available for each DCE pool. All the elements and the rules for filling the fields are explained in the xsd file SWMethods_3p0.xsd accessible for download by the link to the associated xsd file. Directive 2000/60/EC, known as the Water Framework Directive (WFD), establishes a framework for Community action in the field of water policy. It provides for several stages of implementation, each giving rise to a report: the report carried out in March 2010 relates to management plans, and incorporates the data from previous reports.
