Service areas

Description

In Tievelho, service areas are areas located on a road area for which the aim is to organise services according to the needs of road users. All rest areas and parking areas are considered service areas, not only high-quality rest areas. In addition, the target category includes private service areas and other possible areas serving road users, such as bicycle parks and heavy traffic inspection areas. The aim is to organise services for parking and rest areas according to the needs of road users. The parking area is intended for short-term stops and rests only. The rest area is intended for the rest and nourishment of road users and vehicle maintenance. In addition to the services in the parking area, a rest area that meets the minimum requirements offers more services. The high-quality area (service area) offers a wide range of recreation opportunities as well as, for example, an organised fuel distribution. Other sites, such as road signs and roadside furniture, are also connected to the sites. The information is constantly updated in Tiewizard. Information is generated on investment projects and other separate inventories commissioned mainly by the ELY Centres. The ELY Centres are responsible for keeping the information up-to-date. The target category is versioning and covers the roads.
