Description

Main road network links linked to the main locations where Rijkswaterstaat expects planned and/or postponed works and management measures in 2025. These activities and/or measures may limit the availability of the networks. All maps are snapshots of August 2024. Changes may occur during the year due to reprioritization, delays, inspections or other factors. Map 1: Disabled bridges for road and shipping traffic. This map shows the main bridges with restrictions for both road and shipping traffic. The restrictions range from weight or speed limits to a reduced number of lanes. These measures are necessary when bridges no longer meet the current requirements for use. They reduce the risk of damage and ensure safety. In many cases, the limitations arise from concerns about the structural safety of the bridges, which are often designed for lighter traffic than current use. Map 2: Planned large-scale maintenance and renewal. This map gives an overview of the planned activities for large-scale maintenance and renewal in 2025, which can lead to nuisance for both road and shipping traffic. The clustering at the level of network links instead of national roads has contributed to the numbers shown, especially in pavements and lighting. Map 3: Delayed work and/or an increased inspection regime. This map shows the main locations where delayed work or structural safety issues require an increased inspection regime. Rijkswaterstaat carries out intensive supervision to ensure safety. Where safety risks arise, restrictions shall be imposed. Map 4: Restrictions, planned and postponed works per MIRT region. This composite map, divided into the five MIRT regions (Multiannual Programme Infrastructure, Space and Transport), provides insight per region into possible nuisance to road and shipping traffic by: restrictions on bridges, such as speed and weight restrictions, due to structural safety issues; planned large-scale maintenance and renewal in 2025; Delayed work and/or increased inspection regime. Rijkswaterstaat recommends the use of web services. If you want to download data, make sure that you use 1 of the 4 layers of the infrastructure where you download all the data at once.
