Historical map of Zug (1846)
Description
The dataset contains one of a total of 4 maps of the canton of Zug on a scale of 1:25,000 from the years 1845 and 1846. The map sheet covers the northwest of the canton. The surveying work was led by engineer J. Amselmeier. The financing was taken over by a legate for military maps, which underscores the military purposes of the Dufour maps. The map is black and white and contour lines were used. A relief is not visible. The original cards can be found at Swisstopo in Bern. The map sheet was scanned on behalf of Gerhard Ammann and georeferenced by the AGIS coordination.
