VP11 Drinking water interests (OSD) and abstraction areas outside
Description
The theme is the framework for the current and future drinking water supply as well as the tax-funded state groundwater mapping. In addition, the public funds allocated in connection with the Soil Pollution Act are prioritised within the theme. The theme was established on the basis of the previous regional plan of 2005. There is a review of areas with special drinking water interests, where since the most recent regional plan, tax-funded groundwater mapping has been carried out until the mapping is completed in 2015. Abstraction areas outside Areas with Special Drinking Water Interests are updated as part of the fee-financed groundwater mapping. Regular updates can also be made by the municipalities, which are resource authority. There is currently no fixed procedure for the ongoing update of abstraction catchments.
