XLink, XML Linking Language
Description
XLink (Extensible Linking Language) is a language produced for effective external linking of XML documents. XLink is a W3C specification and allows for cross and backward references, for example.
XLink has two ways to link XML documents. Extended links are more complex links and simple links work on the same principle as HTML links. The extended links provide the possibility to compile links to a separate database, so that the document does not need to be edited as the link changes. (31.8.2011)
