JHS 159 Application of ISO OID in public administration
Description
The purpose of the Recommendation is to harmonise the use of the OID by the organisations that implement it. Uniform identification practices are particularly necessary when information systems exchange information through open interfaces, with several different systems. In this case, the data content used, e.g. codes and their versions, must be identified, i.e. identified. An ISO OID is a numeric value attached to only one object and uniquely identifies that object in an ISO-enabled Identification System. (18.8.2011)
