Retention cadastre - search rooms with consideration of land use
Description
The retention cadastre provides an overview of potentially usable retention areas in selected Lower Saxony waters. The project is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. It supports the river basin-related concepts and is part of the nationwide flood prevention (area prevention).The data contain search spaces for activable retention areas that have been interspersed with land use data in order to make them available to the responsible actors and policymakers as a planning basis. The focus is on areas that are separated from the water by line structures or terrain elevations, but are topographically suitable to be connected to the waters. The determination of the search areas is based on the HQ100 calculations of the risk and floodplain waters.
