Water erosion hazard – hazard levels water erosion (RxKxS)

Description

The data set Hazard Levels shows the spatial distribution of the potential soil erosion hazard from water on the agricultural land of Brandenburg. The determination was based on DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773), the underlying method of which is referred to as the General Soil Ablation Equation (ABAG). The erosion hazard is represented in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. The potential erosion hazard from water, which is also referred to as a natural erosion hazard, results from the classification of the potential soil removal according to DIN19708 in hazard levels. The potential soil erosion by water results from the combination of the rain erosion factor R, the soil erosion factor K and the slope slope factor S. The hazard is indicated in seven levels from 0 (no hazard) to 6 (extremely high hazard).
