Digital terrain model Grid width 50 m
Description
For the uniform description of the relief of the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the following digital terrain models (DGM) of different quality levels are set up in the context of the ATKIS project by the German state surveying:
Digital terrain model 5 – DGM5
Digital terrain model 25 – DGM25
Digital terrain model 50 – DGM50
Digital terrain model 200 – DGM200
Digital terrain model 1000 – DGM1000
The DGM describes the terrain forms of the earth’s surface by a geo-referenced dot set arranged in a regular lattice, in position and height. The lattice width of the DGM50 is 50 m x 50 m.
