Inspire BW Protected Areas Wild Conservation and Wildlife Resting Areas
Description
Inspire Data Set of Wildlife Conservation and Wildlife Resting Areas in Baden-Württemberg. Wildlife sanctuaries and wildlife rest areas act as shelters for wildlife from human concern.
The majority of protected areas were designated in the 1980s with reference to §38 LWaldG (Landeswaldgesetz) or §24 LJagdG (Landesjagdgesetz).
In the course of the amendment of the Land Hunting Act, the wildlife protection areas designated pursuant to §24 LJagdG were transferred to the Hunting and Wildlife Management Act (JWMG) and renamed them to wild rest areas (cf. §42 JWMG).
The legal basis according to §38 LWaldG remains unaffected.
