Description

In accordance with the circular of 30 May 2008 on the application of Decree No 2007- 882 of 14 May 2007 on certain areas subject to environmental constraints and amending the Rural Code, codifies under Articles R. 114-1 to R. 114-10, the area The catchment supply area (AAC) is defined on hydrological or hydrogeological bases.The catchment supply area drinking water (surface water intake or groundwater abstraction) corresponds to the surfaces on which water seeps or runoff contributes to the supply of the waterresource in which the withdrawal is made, this resource being currently used for the supply of drinking water or likely to be used in the future.Thus, the AAC corresponds to:- for a work of withdrawal for drinking water in surface water: the sub-slope upstream of the water intake(s) possibly complete by the surface concerned by the supply of groundwater external to this catchment area (e.g. base sheet or watercourse accompaniment table),- for a water abstraction works intended for drinking water in groundwater: to the water supply basin or water points (place of the points on the surface of the soil which contribute to the supply of the catchment). The concepts of "feeding area" and "feeding basin" of catchments (AAFC, LAC) are hereconsiderated as synonyms.In the case of several water intakes (surface water) or water points (groundwater) close to each other, the AAC will concern all the outlets/water points of the sampling structure to which they are connected. drinking water abstraction ≫ is the term advance for water abstraction for AEP use. It does not correspond to a physical reality unique (source, drilling, water point, water intake...). The Sandre leterme of "collection of drinking water" corresponds to a "Work" 'Water use' (see Nomenclature No 481) having code 5 (i.e. 'EPA + DOMESTIC USES') or its sub-levels ('5A': 'Collective feeding' and '5B': "Individual food".The AAC has no regulatory text Founder.
