Description
This layer represents the boundaries of the forestry districts (FBB) within the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Forestry districts are the areas of the regional forestry offices of Wald und Holz NRW. Some FBB manage the state-owned forest, others mainly look after private and municipal forest owners. Forestry districts are managed by a forester and have the following general tasks: Economically and ecologically sustainable forest management Planning, implementation and monitoring of wood harvesting, forest maintenance and construction work in the forest such as construction and maintenance of forest paths Forest police supervision of the respective area Audit, monitoring and acceptance of eligible measures in the forest Performance of business, organizational and administrative tasks of the FBB Contact with authorities, private forest owners, political authorities, environmental organizations and associations etc. Public relations and forest pedagogical offers
